COMMUNICATION COMMITTEE

1. Mission & Objectives

To promote ELA and its objectives to EU and EFTA countries, as well as to countries joining the EU or having applied for membership.

To communicate about ELA and its member associations, through means like publications, press releases, conferences & events or advertising.

To inform ELA member associations of all texts issued at European level, which might have an impact on the European lift, escalator and moving walk industry and to promote actions to obtain suitable implementation of adopted EU texts in each EU member state.

To provide ELA member associations with an appropriate support in their lobbying activities in their respective countries, including preparation of argumentation, documentation, contacts with key people in the national administrations and third organizations, which can support the lift & escalator industry initiatives.

To organize the exchange of information between ELA and the member associations regarding their activities to push implementation of European legislation with a view to mutually support the initiatives in the various countries (exchange of success stories, exchange of details about specific issues).

To collect and update the information required for the setup of databases on new and maintenance market norms and rules.

To improve the image and the presence of the lift, escalator & moving walk industry on the European market and to the public at large.
