At Interlift 2005, ELA presented the prospects of applying SNEL (EN 81-80) in the new member states of Central Europe, with the contribution of the Secretary General of the Polish Association, the President of the Czech Association and a member of the Board of the Hungarian Association. Philippe Lamalle (Chairman of the Codes & Standards Committee and Luc Rivet, Secretary General of ELA) also made presentations on the same subject of the application of the Safety Norm for Existing Lifts.
